The Shoot
All you need to know about booking a shoot with me.
Step 1. Booking
Booking with me is simple and easy. If you’ve decided that my photography style is a match for you then all you need to do is head to my let’s chat page and fill out my enquiry form with some information about your pet as well as preference on whether a studio or location shoot is your cup of tea.
After your enquiry has been received, I’ll be in contact within 24-48 hours with available dates for your shoot and we’ll go from there. If you could prefer to meet me in person prior to the shoot or have a chat over the phone then I would be more than happy to accommodate this.
Step 2. Preparing for your photoshoot.
Once we’ve agreed a date and time for the shoot, the deposit has been paid, and the contract has been signed and returned the fun really begins.
Preparing for your photoshoot is key, especially with animals. If you have a dog then I would suggest taking them for a walk before the shoot to tire them out a little as lots of built up energy has the potential to hinder a shoot. With any pet I would recommend bringing their favourite treats or toys to get their attention during the shoot.
Remember, this process is a memory for both your pet AND you, so embrace it and enjoy it. And remember that animals respond to our emotions and they’ll know if you’re not having fun. So get involved, be happy and enjoy it with them, that way you’ll get the best results!
Step 3. Your photoshoot session.
It’s shoot day…and that means you can enjoy a fun photo session with your beloved pet. Whether you’ve decided for a super fun studio shoot or an adventurous location session this day is all about capturing special memories with your pet.
Do some research about what sort of shots you might like, this isn’t necessary but I would hate to miss out on a key shot you really wanted to try out. I’ll work my magic and capture a variety of shots for you to choose from.
Your session will last anything from 45 to 90 minutes depending on your chosen package. We’ll allow some time for your pet to settle in the environment and become familiar with myself and their surroundings.
Remember to relax and have fun!!!
Step 4. Choosing your photos.
After the shoot has taken place I’ll get working on the post production of your images. Within 2 weeks from the date of the shoot you’ll receive a range of digital images from your photo session via an online gallery - these images will be the absolute best from your shoot!
I don’t set a time limit for you to choose your images, take as long as you need. After all they are your treasured memories, it’s a decision that I understand cannot be rushed.
Prints are an optional extra with all of my shoots and I can offer a quote for the highest quality artwork and prints upon request. Prints are an amazing way of showcasing your photoshoot throughout your home for you to look at day after day remembering the best times with your furry friend.
